The following is a list of the classes that I will be offering this Fall at the TCCC campus in Peachtree, NC. Legacy Genealogy Software 101: You can do genealogy on paper. That is how it was done until the age of the PC computer. If you are researching your family history and not using computer genealogy software, your family history research will suffer. This is an introductory course covering the fundamentals of Legacy 9, the gold standard of genealogy computer software. It will include instruction on the basic data
entry including the proper entry of names, places, and dates; program menus;
importing and exporting projects, and other features to get the beginner started using Legacy. This course is a prerequisite to take any of the advanced Legacy courses. 12.5 hrs.

step-by-step guide to testing at Ancestry, and a basic overview of what you will see after that test clears the lab. 10 hrs.

DNA Segmentology – The
Art of Triangulation: Autosomal DNA is an ever-changing field. This course will cover the latest methods of analysis and interpretation of the non-scientist genetic genealogist. The triangulation method requires a chromosome browser and the knowledge to calculate the shared amounts of DNA that we share with our genetic cousins. This class will cover the
segment basics and answer the questions “What is a chromosome browser?”, and
“How can I use these methods in my own genealogy?” 7.5

Your Pre-1850 Ancestry: As a family historian’s
research progresses further back in time, tracing ancestors and their families
prior to 1850 becomes more difficult as fewer record sources will be available.
